宮原眼科是由紅磚瓦構成的建築物，由日本眼科博士宮原武熊於西元一九二七年建造，座落於臺中火車站的綠川旁。在一九四五年日本戰敗，宮原武熊返回日本，宮原眼科變成了臺中衛生院，及後在九二一大地震中變成了廢墟。後來「日出」蛋糕團隊買下了宮原眼科的舊址，保留外部的紅磚牆和舊牌樓，仿造復古挑高圖書館的裝飾，售賣冰淇淋、珍珠奶茶、土鳳梨酥、太陽餅、南棗核桃糕等食品及飲品。
